Folks, unfortunately I’m going to have to bow out of this round. I’m going to save the list and when taking part in the next round I’ll print double.
I am a high school photo teacher and I utilize our school darkroom for all of my work. With COVID and the extended closings around the country, we went from a distance model where teachers could access the building, to a complete shut down. I am barred from the space as each building has received a complete cleaning and disinfection.
My deepest apologies , every time I open my mailbox and see a card I feel elated and terrible at all once.
How about mailing your negative to me and I'll print them for you and send them back. You'll not have made the prints, but you'll have sent prints out and not be able to feel bad (which you should not in light of the circumstances). Whaddayathink? Just an idea.
Oh, great, I'm very glad the card reached you! When I got home from my work on friday, I found a very nice card of bedrof taken in Istanbul. I haven't tried simit already, but I would like to try it now you have told me that it is very tasty.
Thank you and Спасибо
Thanks-I've made many images at that location; it's always interesting to revisit a place over an extended period of time. You feel encouraged to discover new possibilities and to try out new things, like Edward Weston at Point Lobos.Received another card from Black Dog, A Winter Walk in the Woods. Nice spring family out and about. Not to be taken for granted in these times. Very calming. I like a lot.

I'm chuffed that you appreciated my picture of Calton Hill. I've made many pictures there over the last year or so, some of which will be appearing in future exchanges It's such a fantastic viewpoint! Good luck with inspiring your kids and enjoy making images together.15 cards have arrived in total now. 2 this week and my first colour one last week. Blackdog - "Calton Hill #2", My first colour card this exchange always good to get a colour postcard especially as I used to walk to this vantage point regularly when I lived in Edinburgh in the mid 90s. tezzasmall - pavement fountains. Reminds me of Summer, but without crowds due to the current situation. jvo - "Ancient Jungle". We do live in interesting times.
In my family afternoon evening walks I have been encouraging my daughter and son to carry a point and shoot with them and go nuts photographing things they notice. My son (15) has taken 2 photos in 4 weeks, my daughter (13) has shot 6 rolls of film in the same time frame. She and I enjoy the darkroom process something I'll treasure until I become to boring to be with.
Thanks everyone for all the postcards. Stay safe.
I too have now received this print, and it brings back memories of the one evening that I had in the same area, whilst volunteering on a Summer Camp many moons ago now.Reveived jvo's ancient jungle themed photo of Washington, DC. Nice angle for the two buildings.
Good work.
