Cards are in the mail folks. They've a long way to travel so I thought I'd get them out early this time.

I had my cataracts done back in May/June, George.
It's great to have clarity again, but the amazing thing to me was the colour shift from Tungsten to Daylight
Enjoy!

I received the first card of PCX 63 today, Jim Christie's "Long Rest". it is a very nice pinhole image taken between two docked ships (possibly freighters?). I should have known it was a pinhole image from the focus being relatively sharp from front to back (way back!). An interesting image, and very well executed as a pinhole. Thanks Jim.

Sent. I sent all my U.S. cards as postcards this round. Let me know if there is any damage to the cards from the trip through postal territory.

I received your card today "Night Ride" night shot at the Ohio state fair. Very nice print on Ilford paper. Composition and print are great. I must say my first thought was "how did you photograph the inside of a developing reel?" 🤔 🙂.

Yesterday I received BHuij's Granite Cascade. A very nice "running water" shot of moving water over rocks. Nicely composed, excellent shadow and highlight detail, and excellent contrast. I wouldn't have thought to use a red filter on such a shot, but I guess it slows down the shutter. Only one minor postal scuff. Thanks Andrew!

PS - you ask what am I gonna do for PCX? Already done it!

I have yet to select a negative to print for this round, but hope to do so in the next week. Then the next challenge is to "carve out" some time to get into the darkroom and print.

Here are my comments on the cards I have received to-date.
"Horsetail Gorge" from BHuij is nicely printed. I really like the flowing water and how it leads the viewer through the image. Well done. Aside note: The pen you used to write the text on the card early smears when whiped. I suspect you used a "gel pen" versus a "ball point" or Sharpie.)
"Sheaf" from AnselMortensen is magical. I reminds me of Kodak HIE. I am curious about (a) what is the subject, (b) what concentration of Rodinal did you use? I like the collection of stamps you used, none of them from this century.
"Dilapidated" by mfohl offers a lot for the viewer to examine. I also like to photograph old, disintegrating places. They provide a lot for the imagination.
"Long Rest" from Jim Christie is a very interesting perspective of these two ships. Nice pinhole photo.

Regards,
Darwin

Thank you @Don_ih for adding me to your postcard recipient list, despite my not participating for the last few exchanges.
I too really like the look of Pencils, and your card really does them justice.

Received from @gbroadbridge "Eddy Avenue Food Express-2005" Terrific card of a diner in Sydney. Lost to new development 😕. Really nailed the exposure, windows are beautiful. Great inkjet print on proper paper. I need to try this paper ink combination.
Thanks!

Got two cards in the last coupla days. First is Don_ih's "No Trespassing". A nice lith print of a rural scene. Two large gates with signs on either side. But no fence! And of course, "No Trespassing" signs are for amusement purposes only. My buddies and I usually ignore them. Nice lith print, unfortunately some serious postal scuffing.

Second is gbroadbridge's "Eddy Avenue Food Express - 2005". A nice slice of life shot with a couple guys apparently contemplating their food. Good tight cropping of the place, and great exposure on a sunny day. Big Breakfast it says, then it says Pizza, Pasta, Kebabs, Burgers. I guess that would be a big breakfast. And I like the young lady on the sign on the left: Go on, dive in". Nice that you documented this for posterity.

I received "Dilapidated" by @mfohl the other day.
Beautifully seen & executed! 👍
I love that type of subject matter...(as some might remember from my "Window" from PCX-62).

All my 10 postcards are ready, and should be sent tomorrow (or the day after). 7 of them are going outside the EU, so I guess they might take a while... Also, all of them going "au naturel", so some postal scuffing is to be expected (and desired?).

I have received two so far.
Long Rest by Jim Christie, great to see a pinhole shot, nicely done.
Black Eyed Peas from Don Heisz, all the way from Tottenham, great composition and fun to see that you're using the "interesting" films and Lith process.
