Camera and lens consignments are the backbone of our business. Customers mail their cameras to us from all over the USA. It's simple to start the conversation.
People will walk into the store with a box of old cameras, some in good shape, some need a little TLC, and some need and overhaul. We can make that happen. Our goal is to put your cameras into someone else's hands, someone who will love them as much as you did.
The cameras in the box that are not sellable, be they worn out, broken, or of too little value to put on the shelf, also can have an extra life. Another goal is to keep them out of the landfill.
We sift all those cameras through our eBay store, along with all the filters, old cases, odd accessories and other doodads. A good number of them are sold to repair people for parts. The remaining unwanted go to one of our semi-annual dock sales. There's nothing like garage-sale prices to stir the imagination of local photographers. From there, the leftovers go to our local charity resale shop. Surprisingly little goes in the dumpster.
So don't think your old disused cameras, or the box of Grandpa's cameras in the attic, have no value. You'd be surprised what we can do for you - and them.
Keep up with what's new at Blue Moon Camera with our weekly newsletter, The Loupe. It shows up with our latest Film Friday 15% discount boldly splashed across the page, along with other discount offers and tempting bytes about new gear in the shop.
