The Black Hole of info about Leica Focomat Enlargers and Focometer information....

I have been going nuts trying to find out any info on my newly acquired Leica Focomat V35 and Focometer 2 systems....

I can't believe in this day and age, with the internet and all...there is very little information readily available about the Focometer 2.

I'm dumbfounded. All I'm trying to do is find instructions on the unit which were sadly not part of the deal. Trying to understand the power cords
and how they interface with the V35. Nothing.

Driving me F*%king nuts.

Is it possible the unit you have is not something that sold a lot of units and there are not a terrible lot of folks interested in it? I fear the Internet is mostly commerce-driven. Try to find a copy of Anton Weburn's Greatest Hits LP, for instance.

Have a V35 but don't have a Focometer. what else do you need to know ?

have you tried calling Leica? They are in New Jersey, I believe. Their parts department was very helpful in the past --sold me a new power cord for my focomat Ic, sent me instructions, etc. LEICA CAMERA AGENCY

It took me 5 seconds to find a manual for the V35 on the net.

The other manual seems more troublesome. In the worst case you would have to buy it.
Not everything in life is free. Remember that you paid much less for your stuff than the original price...

First I also searched for V35 manual to help the OP, then I saw that OP wants info about Focometer. Hard to find. I have V35 and Focometer, and I don't use Focometer at all. Question is where to buy the manual? I do have couple of euros extra on paypal .

Hello everyone,

Thanks very much for the replies so far...yes, the enlarger is not so much of an issue to understand, it is the Focometer 2...which is different than
the Focometer Quartz. I've had no trouble finding the V35 Manual on Ebay, but, apparently, I own the only Focometer 2 in the world. LOL. I have put in a call to Leica in
New Jersey...hopeful.

I seem to be the only other person on the planet with a Focometer 2. I have scanned the manual into a PDF file, of 8.8 MB.
Now I have to work out how to send it to you.

I recently got a Focometer but it is missing the instructions. All I found was a manual, but in French.
Furthermore, I am not able to contact any member directly, due to my new membership here.

That is a great website. But as you already stated, there is no Focometer Manual to be found.
