Some magnets have gotten awfully rusty, and can't seem to align anything right.

Actually, there is a method of geological and archaeological dating called paleo-remnant magnetism, using the specific in situ alignment of iron particles to point to where the magnetic pole was at specific point in geologic history, since its location is not constant Of course, the sample itself, and all the reference samples any precise alignment model would based on, would have to be from undisturbed conditions, tectonically and so forth, which makes the method viable only going back so far. .... Well, back to the usual photo banter and D100 (maybe),
before one of the Mods brings out their own mining pick-axe and sledgehammer.
