Dear Photrio Analog members,

Perhaps you can assist me on this one.
Was given a m645 camera and lens in clean condition, I want to use it for portraits in studio
with old school norman power pack and heads, I see on the body a connector for the pc flash synch
which looks good but do not know how to set the camera for strobe conditions (x) do I set for 1/60th of a
second 1/125th of a second, or like my friend who has p67 who has to shoot at 1/30th of a second?

Many thanks for your help. I reviewed the manual on the internet, however left me more confused
I think Pentax makes good equipment, manuals not so much.

If anybody can chime it on this, I would appreciate it.
This is an "old school" setup, but I have seen some great Delta 100 and TriX portraits shot with
this camera and with the 150mm lens look very good!

will post some tasteful nudes of model, on a future date if I can get synch issue figured out...Gracias!

It depends on what the sync speed is for that body. The specs for that model should have it. So shoot at that, or less. If you have any leaf lenses, do they have them for the P645, then you can go higher.

According to the instruction book (and my own experience) the original Pentax 645 has a maximum sync speed is 1/60 sec.
