What happened to my diafine?

I mixed this batch up about 3 months ago, used it 4 times, then didn't for 2 months, and pulled it out last night, and saw this.

this is solution B. The second photo is of what was left after filtering through a coffee filter.

I'm very experienced with this developer, and have never had this happen.

There is nothing in solution B which should cause these kinds of precipitates. However, since your soup has already been used a few times, there's a chance, that carryover from solution A reacted like this in highly alkaline solution B. I'd say it is time to replace solution B unless you have full confidence in your filter system.

Here is a substitute formula for Diafine, especially solution B should be easy to make.

There is nothing in Solution A or B which would cause this precipitation. The contamination in your Solution B must be from some external source, such as an unclean bottle used to mix the solution originally. It is particularly possible if you previously used that bottle for some other chemistry. I would not dwell on the matter unless it reoccurs. If your Solution A is okay, then mix up the Solution B from the formula noted and go forth.
