ACUG--Analogue Cine User Group

Super8 or 16mm cameras capable of shooting single frame (stop motion)

Does anyone have a list, partial or otherwise, of Super8 or 16mm motion picture film cameras capable of doing stop-motion filming (shooting one frame, adjusting the subject, shooting a second frame, etc)? I think I'd like to play around with the idea, but I don't want to get a camera that will not let me do this predictably. Many thanks in advance!

From memory, most of the high end S8 cameras (Canon, Nizo, Braun, etc) had single frame capabilities. I know my Canon did. In 16mm the old standard was the Bolex H16 Reflex. All the spring wound models had a single frame feature, probably the later electrified ones too- but I never used one. Higher end 16mm cameras like Arriflex required an animation motor. When I was a kid I used to play around with my Bolex B8 and animate my matchbox cars. It was fun
