Ektachrome super 8 film ?

#1
Hi, I have been given 2 lots of Ektachrome 100D 7285 Super 8 film (Color Reversal Film). I know this film is long out of date (2012), but is it still okay to shoot and more important, is it still possible to get it processed ??

If not, I'll look into something else !!

Thanks for any info given.

It is the same process as the current Ektachrome, E6. So any lab or home enthusiast who can process the current Ektachrome can do it.

If it's been kept frozen, it should be fine. If it's been kept refrigerated it might be fine. If not, the colours may have shifted but you should still get images. The only way find out is to try.

Thanks for that. Alas, film is neither frozen or refrigerated! Has just been kept in bag with the camera & stored somewhere in a box until I found it recently.... Hopefully there MAY be something. As you say - the only way to find out is to try!!

There will be something, but expect colour shifts unless the film has been stored in the cool and low humidity. Processing isn't cheap but it is quite widely available.
