Double 8mm electric cameras

#1
I'm just wondering, what are some electric double 8mm cameras I should invest in, like the Canon Canonette Cine 8? preferably, something that could shoot 48-64 frames per second.

I would check out the Bolex 8mm line up when they started putting electric drive in the double 8 cameras. Of course the spring wound models would do 64fps. My old B8L did.

I don’t think there is one Double-Eight camera whose electric drive attains more than 32 fps. Usually they run at 16, 18 and or 24. Advantage spring drive

One electric camera stands out, the Leicina 8 S. It features the superb six-elements Summicron lens f = 15 mm. Together with very good mechanics it’s a unique 16 fps model.

The very best mechanics you get with spring driven cams by DeJur, Bauer, Paillard-Bolex, Bell & Howell, EMEL, Meopta, Eumig, ELMO, Sankyo.

I've got two electric motor drive, (Chinon Master and Sankyo 8CM) as well as a few clockwork ones. I am honestly not sure which I prefer. The Sankyo is very light and I have a partner who cannot lift hefty objects for long, so she can use that one and realistically cannot use the others for any kind of length of time.

I have a Minolta 8, have not used it for years but it worked fine. Spools are loaded into a 'cartridge' that one just reversed halfway through the film.
