I've had a big order of Adox products on order from the US distributor for sale at my shop since early May. Estimated delivery date got pushed now to early August. The word I got on the other end is that Freestyle isn't even placing orders with Adox to stock their products.

Fotoimpex won't sell to me, and neither with Adox. I very much want to carry Adox films and chemistry because I really think they're excellent. It just seems like they have no interest in the US market. My emails with Adox and Fotoimpex have gone exactly nowhere. It's quite frustrating. I may simply have to cancel my large order from Freestyle and give up on the idea.
I found the same thing when talking to Fotoimpex/Adox about stocking Adox products at Photo Retro. They just didn’t seem like they wanted to follow up.
On the same note, Fotoimpex seemed like they wanted to stock my dry plates, said they were putting together a purchase order, and then just never placed the order.
Definitely act like they’re not interested in the US market.
It might simply be too much bother and they are for one reason or another not willing to outright say it.
Exporting to the US can be a huge pain for a small manufacturer.
Saying “no” while they decide and survey the situation can have pretty binary and permanent results.Understandable, but the teasing and stringing along wasn’t. In my case, it was going both ways. If you don’t want to buy something, just say it. Don’t promise and then ghost the business you’re negotiating with.
Definitely FPP is repackaged stuff. I had it developed in regular c41 process.
So Helios is a brand spankin' new ISO 3 film? Not a repackage? A film mfg decides to make a brand new film for consumer use and decides on ISO 3?
That's the bit I don't understand. I do understand repackaging an existing and readily available ISO 3 film to raise funds to finance the new ISO 200 film.

Well [Adox] could allow Fotoimpex to sell it to me.
So basically even when it comes out, those of us in the USA will never see it?
....at the same prices like now!
I was checking the Fotoimpex website randomly last week en suddenly saw Colour Mission was in stock again. Never saw it in stock, so I ordered 3 rolls. I hardly shoot 35mm, but I am curious to try this film.
According to Adox, it’s completely new.what type of film is the color mission and which bancrupt company made it? New right but hardly new emulsion.
best would be agfa producing all sizes of their genious X-line x100 and x400. 35/120 longroll 61.5mm. easy making 220 or using longroll. we only need paper maybe unprinted neutral one. macos digibase 200 seem to be based upon the x100 only maco doesnt want to confess. they finally had huge rolls of 61.5mm. they could have been cut into 30.5m. i already contacted ilford about 70mm and paper. they want to stop production.

Don't you think that Ilford is just selling off old stocks of 70mm? I would be amazed if there's much demand.
