I wonder what the problem is.

At the rate they are going this film will be (un)available for the next 40 years and not 4 years as they planned...

I would like to have been able to get it in the US, but I think it's clear that ADOX has no shortage of buyers for a limited amount of film, so they really don't gain anything by having a US distributor. Still, I wish them all the best. If there were a US distributor I would probably buy one or two rolls as long as it doesn't exceed maybe $15 a roll, I don't know if that would be viable.

I wonder if ADOX could try sending a limited number of rolls out to people who have a lot of people watching them or reading what they write online just to boost knowledge of ADOX itself among a broader base, people not likely to use this site.

I ordered for myself and some friends to make the shipping cost worth (with some Foma too). It ended up being $12 net per roll + a $9.45 small flat rate box for the friends.

That's not a bad idea. How many rolls did you buy?
Unfortunately I don't have too many friends who may be willing to go in with me but it's worth a try anyway.

A lot to make it worth: 35 rolls of Color Mission, 30 rolls of Foma 100 in 120, a box of Foma 100 in 5x7 and a box of 8x10. Foma is really cheap in comparison to US prices (even under Arista brand).

But don't you pay a lot import taxes?
I never bought anything from the USA, but when I bought from Japan and UK I had to pay a lot of money to get it into the EU/Netherlands.

I see, that's probably a lot more than I can afford even with my friends. Maybe I can convince them anyway...

From my experience to date, no import duties if the value is under $800.
Here the effective threshold is 5.26 €.
Not yet import duties, but already VAT, which is the substantial part anyway. Added by the VAT-handling costs of mail-service.

So, what happened to this film? More than 3 months since @Team ADOX "started spooling the next batch".

They started selling it yesterday. Three rolls per order, max. It's sold out again.

I decided to get three rolls, just to see for myself.

Which means that for the casual visitor to their webshop that film typically impresses as unobtainable.

I don't check daily, but still often. Never had the opportunity to order it.

They announced it on instragram. And also stated that it will be announced there for future finishing events. Additionally you can set up a notification in the shop by navigating to the film, or any other unavailable item, and entering your email in the relevant field.

Their Instagram post warned a few hours ahead. The mail from the shop came in half an hour after the the announced time. If it wasn't for the mail I'd have forgotten. Not that it would have mattered to me. I just want to try some, eventually, and support their colour work. Their master rolls are supposed to last a little while, after all.

This has been suggested before, but this feature is not available anymore.

Mirko stated in the past that such information always would be on their main site. Seemingly this policy was cancelled.

That the inscription not always works, due to missing a hint to it, have shown replies here.

It doesn't preclude that they do. I didn't check, though.

I checked, and it's still there. But it turns out, that the feature isn't there when switching to the English language version. Well, no effort, no joy. You've got to learn German.

Or you navigate the German site to the product, which should be easy, because you already speak the English dialect. Then enter your address into the box which is labelled 'E-Mail-Adresse' inside and click the word to the right .

Yes, but the better way, would be at the film listings to indicate to be able inscribe to be informed about availabilty.

Nowing about that film as such, when looking at their film listing and seeing that it was unobtainable at the moment I had no urge to go the the very product page.

Thanks! I was always served the English version of the Fotoimpex site. Luckily, I know the language well enough to navigate the German site with no problem...

I would love to buy this film. If I can buy this film.
I saw it on Freestyle for $20. I think I'd have gotten a roll if it were just $15 or less but at 20 I'll let someone else buy it.

Sold out. But for $20/roll I would have passed anyway.

Oh, last I'd checked was over a week ago. I don't know why, but psychologically, the difference between paying $15 and $20 is really big. I almost feel like I have some duty to Adox to buy it, even though of course, I don't. Anyway, they seem to have no trouble finding customers even at $20 per roll. I hope it's helping them prepare to make more color film in the future. For now I'm content with the few boxes of Superia I got on sale at the pharmacy and which are now in my freezer.
