However, this is a sample webpage with placeholder images, intended only for internal use. Even the canister image is of the first Color Mission. None of the informations on this page are final, except for the color scheme which is for the graphics design department. Let's see how much Helios 4x5" sheets cost...

I don't mind to use slow film in my Wista as long as the colors I get are good.

That is something we can carefully disclose already, but we are still going through QC on the mini jumbos and might have to adjust if we find pencil lines.
Also box prices and shipping tariffs are still very volatile.
If all goes well, we are targeting:

In 4x5'', about 40 EUR (net) for 25 sheets (other color negative large format films are sold in 10-sheet packs)

The reciprocity failure on this film still needs to be tested but is expected to be good, and we believe HELIOS to be an overall attractive option for cameras which benefit from having a tripod

If this works out I'll really be looking forward to this. If there were to be a sealed inside wrapper it would be great to have divided packs like Fuji does with their sheet film. But 25 can't be divided by 2.

In the meanwhile I'm on holiday in Venice and will load my first roll of Color Mission. Let's see how those two will play together...

I just shot Adox Color Mision 200 and Kodak Ultramax 400 side-by-side (needed to test my (unsuccessful) fix for Contax T for light leaks and figured I'd also shoot Color Mission at the same time to get the feel for it).

Only did a quick scan to get the "index print", I won't have time to wet print or drum scan them for a few days, but so far it looks very good. A bit more grain, a bit less latitude, but I'd be perfectly happy with it for a walk around film if Ultramax 400 wasn't available and I'll definitely take my two remaining rolls with me to Venice this year (we love Venice and enjoyed two previous "corona" summers there with zero crowds; this year we won't be so lucky I guess).

If this comes out anywhere close to this price in USA, you may count on me buying at least one box to try it -- and more if it works well. The main thing that's been keeping me from shooting large format color is cost -- and this is lower per sheet than big-brand black and white!

I process my own C-41, scan my own negatives (and still hope to get to print RA-4 when my time permits) -- so film at this price level is the gate opener!

Adox Color Mission 200 looks neutral, it has good skin tones, I like that. The only negative i can see (no pun intended) is that it appears to tolerate less overexposure, the shot of the girl with frontal flash has washed-up colors in the Adox compared with the Kodak. But I don't care -- i don't accidentally overexpose that much. Other than that Color Mission looks very good and ...

... for starters, MUCH better than the ColorPlus 200 c**p everybody raves about...

I share your feelings on ColorPlus 200.

The camera that I shot Color Mission 200 with doesn't have a working meter so some shots on CM 200 were overexposed (some deliberately because @Joerg Bergs posted a review of this film back in February and mentioned that this film performs best at ISO 100), but also other shots that were exposed properly show lower latitude (higher contrast) than Ultramax 400. Also, I scanned this on a Noritsu scanner with minimal adjustments (no contrast adjustments at all, just basic max 2 sec. per frame density/yellow/magenta/cyan corrections) to get a fell what users would get from a regular mini lab.

For me it will be how it prints, but I don't expect surprises there. So far this seems to be a very well behaved regular C-41 film with a pleasing colour palette.

To my eyes, the Adox Color Mission 200 has its own look and feel, which is a great thing.
Of course, it is very personal but some of your images, I think, have an Agfa look to them, it's hard to describe.

I agree, Felim. I see a little more transparency in the highlights and more saturation in the primary colors. That says "Agfa" to me. (It's a look I like a lot.)

The Color Mission is not retro! It is currently with a 1980s touch, paired with very rich colors. You should be careful with portraits, such as the Ektar, because skin tones are too reddish for the Color Mission. White, however, is clear and pure. No, it really is their own product which they coat themselves, I was at an event were Mirko told this. The FPP stuff most likely is Kodak stuff used in motion picture for projection and that should be developed in ECP processs.

Definitely FPP is repackaged stuff. I had it developed in regular c41 process.

So Helios is a brand spankin' new ISO 3 film? Not a repackage? A film mfg decides to make a brand new film for consumer use and decides on ISO 3?
That's the bit I don't understand. I do understand repackaging an existing and readily available ISO 3 film to raise funds to finance the new ISO 200 film.

Ok re-read that. Thanks! Very interesting, and I am curious as to the colour palette as the repackaged ISO 3 stuff that I have used is called Blue Ultra for a reason!

FPP Blue Ultra is a repackaged Kodak motion picture color print film, Vision 2383 most probably.

Maybe ADOX also want to eventually sell their own motion picture print film. Commercially this might make a ton of sense.

It was available at Freestyle for a short duration. But it’s not seen on their website now.

Is this the head and shoulders one as opposed to the girl and the room one? If it is then while there might be a difference in a larger print I can see no difference in the 2 films in these thumbnails prints

I've had a big order of Adox products on order from the US distributor for sale at my shop since early May. Estimated delivery date got pushed now to early August. The word I got on the other end is that Freestyle isn't even placing orders with Adox to stock their products.

Fotoimpex won't sell to me, and neither with Adox. I very much want to carry Adox films and chemistry because I really think they're excellent. It just seems like they have no interest in the US market. My emails with Adox and Fotoimpex have gone exactly nowhere. It's quite frustrating. I may simply have to cancel my large order from Freestyle and give up on the idea.

I found the same thing when talking to Fotoimpex/Adox about stocking Adox products at Photo Retro. They just didn’t seem like they wanted to follow up.

On the same note, Fotoimpex seemed like they wanted to stock my dry plates, said they were putting together a purchase order, and then just never placed the order.

Definitely act like they’re not interested in the US market.

Well, once upon a time we also had Konica, Agfa, 3M/Ferrania, and many more I've forgotten about. But, yes, these sad days......
