@Supercine :
Thank you very much for reporting your results! Very helpful and interesting.

That quality level is definitely much lower compared to the level Lucky had with their BW films before they stopped production.

I developed my roll of Lucky SHD400 with disappointing results. Heavy coating defects periodically every few frames. In between many pinholes and small scratches.

The film base is clear. The dried film curls. No frame numbers.

Exposed at ISO 200. Developed in Adox XT-3, 1+2, 18 Min.
Plustek Opticfilm 7300.

I don't wish to sound pessimistic but if Lucky can't get the black & white film right, how can they expect to make colour film half decent?

I never had any microbubbles with other films and the same development procedure. I am quite sure it is a coating defect.

I had very nice results reversal processing half a roll of respooled Lucky SHD 400 35mm film shot at EI:200. But there are some defects (scratches and small black spots) in the film that affect random frames. Maybe these are respooling effects and not the serious manufacturing defects that others have experienced. I would love to try this film in 120 format nevertheless. Any feedback on the backing paper used for this film? Hope it is problem-free.

So after these results, the question is: why should we even bother with Lucky SHD 400 when there are consistent, reliable, quality black and white films from Ilford, Kodak and others?
