Repair reports for the Minolta 9000 are rare. It is all the more gratifying when you find a report that addresses four problems at once.

In his report on the German APHOG, Dirk Münchgesang reports on shutter cleaning, fixing a known problem with the aperture, contact errors and how to get more images out of your loaded film.

An excellent tutorial with photos and in-depth explanations. Highly recommend!

I looked through the Minolta 9000 tutorial. Yours is much better done. With both, I would be well over my head in tempting the same repairs.

I think it's like electronic circuits.

You can only understand a complex circuit straight away if you are practiced, recognize recurring arrangements and, in particular, understand basic processes. Once you have an overview, you can concentrate on the details.

You can also get this overview when repairing if you just start and try to find answers to the actual questions. At the beginning this can be what tools I need, how I can dismantle a top cover, where there is information about it, etc.

It's more a matter of motivation and step by step than talent, I think.
