Not sure how easy it is to source all of the chemicals.

Calbe A49 seems to be the nearest, it might be possible to replace CD-1 by the more readily available CD-4:

does anyone have a formula for Agfa Atomal? I like to prepare some for a friend who is temporarily out.

Why bother? It's readily available, especially in Germany where you are, in one and five liter packages:

This link, which others have noted, leads to a discussion on Flickr where Robert of Fotohuis provides the formula: https://www.flickr.com/groups/49958431@N00/discuss/72157624848978747/

I have several unopened boxes of Atomal, which state right on the front that it contains Hydroxyethyl-o-Aminophenol Sulfate in Part A of the two packets of chems, while Sodium Sulfite and Sodium Borate are in Part B. If Atomal has an Agfa "formula number" then it might be feasible to track down other sources to confirm the formula, though I admit that most of the Agfa resources I have tend to show use of Metol, not Aminophenol.

That’s not the same formula. There is Agfa Atomal, the formula linked by Anon Ymous above. Then there is Calbe/ADOX Atomal A49 which uses totally different developing agents. There is at least one other developer named Atomal. Ralph asked for the Agfa version. The main developing agent is no longer available.

Which beg the question: if the main developing agent of Agfa Atomal is no longer available, and ADOX sells a work-alike, what good will the Agfa formula do?

N-hydroxyethyl-o-aminophenol sulfate is no longer available AFAIK, it was replaced by CD-1.

There was another undisclosed formula:

I have written an email to your gmail adress with deeper informations around the Adox developer probably based on Mr. Wehner's "new" A49.

Best,
Reginald
