Selling my Busch Pressman D, a camera popular with newspaper photographers for decades. It's portable, easy to use and allows a great deal of flexibility in the field. In my mind, it's the ideal starter 4x5 camera.

This is the 4x5 model, and includes a nice Wollensak Raptar 135mm f/4.7 lens in a working Rapax shutter. I've used this setup to produce many fine art images over the last several years. In fact, I used it this last weekend to shoot both 4x5 film and wet plate collodion. But it's time for it to go to a new home.

This camera is all-metal construction, and built to take abuse, but it's not overly heavy. Bellows draw is about 12 inches, and focusing is done with a geared thumb knob on both sides of the camera for smooth focusing. There's a distance scale to aid in focusing that is accurate for the 135mm lens.

The camera features front rise, tilt (front and back) and shift, and a drop bed. Front shift is geared, and front rise (approx 2 inches) is done with locking wheels, same as with the tilt. If you're using a wide-angle lens, there is a drop bed function that allows you to move the bed out of the way of the field of view. All movements lock down tight. Bellows are light tight. The ground glass is in good condition. The camera also features a convenient rotating spring back, unlike a lot of 4x5 handheld/field cameras. Ther's a leather strap to hold the camera which is quite nice, but probably not original to the camera.

There is a glass view finder on the top, as well as a sports finder (neither of which I've ever used). There is a small piece of the leatherette that is missing on the bottom of the camera, next to the tripod socket (in the photos), and a few small scrapes on the edge of the rotating back. Other than that, the exterior condition of the camera is quite good considering the age.

I'm including three additional (and hard to find) lens boards with this auction, (plus the one that the lens is mounted to). That's at least a $75 bonus to the high bidder right there. I will also include 4 plastic 4x5 film holders as well.

NOTE: The tripod mount, tripod and any other accessories that aren't specifically listed are not included in the sale.)

Asking $260 or best offer, plus shipping from Oklahoma City, OK 73107
