I bought a few packs and found the dev times to be the same as XTOL, however I came to the conclusion that it dies more quickly. I did not do a scientific test for that.

Thank you, I have a supply left but am looking for a replacement as I expect Xtol is not around anymore.
Why do you think Xtol is no longer available? Freestyle in California sells it. I am sure there are others. Of course, it is all 5 gal. now. I am also sure that Freestyle has other brands of similar developer. Photographer's Formulary probably has one too.......Regards!

Freestyle is selling the Kodak Xtol in packs to make 5 liters, or what ever a 1 gallon jug can hold.

I'm not sure that the issues about new MSDS's for HC-110 and T-Max and the new catalogue numbers for so many of the Kodak Alaris chemicals necessarily mean that products are all going to be changed.
The minimum quantity rules have been improved and some of the packaging has been changed - each of which can lead to changes in catalogue numbers.
The info on this developer seems to almost warn against using it in a replenishment regime - a significant difference from XTol, and a major reason (in my mind) that it would not serve as a useful replacement.
And by the way, both this product and the packaging for XTol make up 5 litres - not 5 gallons.

I'm on the East Coast and my source is B&H. They clearly state it has been discontinued and a "new" product will be available "soon"(?). Meanwhile I am seeing a lot of hype about ExoPro being an equal or at least on a par.

If you search BH for XTOL, it shows an item that is discontinued and a new item coming soon. It's probably the same thing, just a different catalog number. I can ask my Kodak supplier what's up, but I doubt that XTOL is going away any time soon. In the meantime, if you need it, I'm sure more than BH has it readily available.

FWIW, take a look on this page on Kodak Alaris's site: https://imaging.kodakalaris.com/photographers-photo-printing/resources/chem-tech-info
You may note that the links relating to HC-110 and T-Max developer have beside them "New Formula, same great results! "
No such indication for XTol.
There is a link above that which goes to a page with a list of new catalogue numbers for a number of products.
UPC codes are added to the listings, and the minimum order quantities are revised - in XTol's case, down from 20 to 10, which may assist when it comes to availability.
