Has anyone had any good experiences with General Camera Repair in Pasadena Ca?
Im thinking of sending in my Cannonet QL 17 in for a film loading mechanism repair.

http://www.generalcamera.net/index.html

It wont catch the film leader since the mechanism does not spin.

I am not sure if this is a common problem but I have not found any solutions to it.

Any service better than the other? I am going for reliability and cost?

I have Samys Camera on Fairfax do all my Hasselblad repairs.

I use Steve Choi in Culver City. Professional quality and highly reliable. Always been more than happy, but he's not the cheapest.

Sometimes quite long. When she gets too busy or unable to work sometimes she even sets up a waiting list for new jobs.

Steve Choi, on the other hand, costs a bit more but turns high quality overhauls around a lot quicker. Often just a couple of days to a week.

What's the average turn around time?

Up to weeks. Once for months but she was very sick and it was a special lens with a lot of specialized work required - beyond what a mere mortal or muggle could do.
