Is there a trick to mounting a lens on a Kowa Super 66? I have not been able to do it with the one I have. I aligned the red index dots and lined up the pins, just like the manual said, but the none of the lenses seem to want to drop into the mount when everything is lined up. One side will drop in but the other side will stick up, it kind of teeters. My guess is something is sticking in place on the camera itself since i have tried all three lenses that i have for it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,

Sometimes I have a problem that looks like...
To solve, I push the two small red pins as described on the pic until it sounds a "click".

Once you have pushed the two red pins on the lense, you have to unscrew a little more (to the left) the mount on the body while pushing the button on the bottom right of the body.

. Do your pins stay aligned on the red dots own there own? I have to push them over and hold them or they will spring back on their own. When I do push them over they will not move far enough to be directly under the dot. Thanks.

Okay, I did get two of the three lenses to mount now. The third one those pins will not budge, maybe if I keep trying it will loosen up. Thanks for the information everyone.

The lens is not set to V, is it?
No it they are all set on X. I tried all three, V,X,M and the pins will not click in and stay aligned with the red index dots. I can hear the timer/shutter running as pins rotate back into the wrong position after I have just tried to align the pins to the dots.

Doesn't seem to be, or maybe it is and I can't tell that is. It does feel like it has slightly less resistance when I depress it , then the other two lenses that work have.

I don't have the Super 66, I have a Kowa SixMM. On this the body has to be cocked, i.e., the mirror down. Is the mirror down on the Super 66?

The mirror is down and the body is cocked ready to fire. Two of the three lenses I can mount to the body, the third one must have something wrong with it.
