Here is an example of a light leak in a Jobo tank caused by the lid not being seated properly at first when the lights were turned on. Looks like yours.

Yes. I installed the central tube. And I verified with my finger that the tube is well positioned. Because I had one time carelessly. Once the tube is not well placed, the light leak immediately and all film turned to dark. So I ensured it's not a light leak.
When I rotated it, I ensured frequently that the cap was well closed.
Thank you AgX!
What is the exact number of 2500 series tank you have? The center column you show is for 2550/2551/2553 called multi-tank 5.
If you are using a multi tank 6, 2561, 2563, or a 2830 print tank your column is too short.
I would confirm that the funnel is properly attached to the inside of the lid.
You are using way too much solution for rotary processing.
Overdevelopment on a blank frame? On blank rebates?
OK you have the right column / tank comboHi mshchem,
You're correct. It's a Multitank 5. And I bought it new. The column has a correct length and well attached.
I agree with you. It's really a large amount.
So after the PM, now I rotate the tank upside to make the rotation more gently.
Best regards,
Yann
The marks on your film in the first post are the shadows of the spiral, caused by a light leak. I really doubt agitation would give such distinct marks. I agitate by inverting the tank 180º and at the same time rotating it along its vertical axis and then returning it to its original position, rotating in the opposite direction. The whole maneuver takes a bit over 1 second. I agitate for 10 seconds at the start of every minute of development time.Hi Pieter,
Actually my sign is in black and not in white on negatives.
I noticed that you also met a dark bar on the left side of the film.
I'd like to know which JOBO Tank you've used and how do you rotate it. Please refer to #24 post for the reason of my request.
Acutally, my problem came from over agitation.
I'll try several times later to find my correct rhythms to well develop my 120 B&W film.
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Yann
Make sure that the funnel is secure to the inside of the lid. It attaches at 3 points, that's the only thing left I can think about that could leak light in the tank. Strange? ??Yes. It's a little bit unbelievable. I don't understand the theory but when I slowed the rotary, the side effect decreased. It looks better now.
I'll try a piece of bulk film so that to ensure that there is no leak for the tank.

This is what I thought as well. Could be a light leak from a changing bag or other light strike. The marks on your film in the first post are the shadows of the spiral, caused by a light leak. Hi Sirius,
The chemistry is enough. Actually, I prepared it according to the D76 user guide.

Again, one cannot explain this arfefact by undue streams of the dedveloper.Everything is correct except the end. I think it's a big movement for the tail which is not blocked and then slashed by the chemistry left and right. And the sign appeared.
What about the amount printed on the side of the tank?
You checked the tank for light leaks, why not checking th bag the same way?
When you started this thread you did not even mention you used a changing bag.
The one constant is the changing bag.. I load everything in a darkroom, even if there's a small light leak, it's 4 meters from where I'm loading the reel. If you have a light leak in a bag it's a few centimeters away. I've used all these different tanks over the years, never had one that leaked light. I'm lucky to have a dedicated darkroom, try throwing a blanket over the changing bag and turn off the lights.
