Hi All,

There is a new feedback system. We'll shift to this method now instead of the thread post. Some may want to go back to their old feedback threads and update what they posted to the new feedback system. You will see the system link at the top of every seller's post. It is called "Trader History" and the feedback will increment the counter next to it. This only appears in our classified ad section and on the member profile pages. Screenshot:

Everyone can view seller history, but only Subscribers can post feedback. Any questions or comments feel free to discuss. it should be a great tool once it accumulates some feedback ratings.

The "Trader History" can also be viewed on member's profile pages or by clicking their avatar icon. Note "Trader History" near the bottom:

And on a members main profile page:

Thanks!
Sean

The only unfortunate thing is old timers like me who have done a fair amount of buying and selling on APUG start off with I suspect a zero rating.

Isn't it a way to report a sale and therefor the need to fill a requirement to donate a certain percent to apug? I think they want 3%...?

there's no "requirement" to donate 3% of anything to anybody at APUG

That means that I will not be buying any cameras from myself [or anyone else, for a while].

Well, I was looking for a way to donate the "suggested" or "wished for" 3% but can't find where it listed anywhere. It used to be there somewhere...

Up at the top of the page there is a Support Us! Link. Click on it and it gives instructions (half way down) on how to send funds using PayPal. I just use that info from within the PayPal site.

Thumbs up for BingleBugBob.

I bought a F1n finder this week and it came quickly, better than described and, I am very happy with what he sent.

I will buy again from this seller.

Cheers.

While "classifieds feedback" is on, could it be possible to add some kind of a sign to mark items that can or would be sold in the EEC.
Items who will or can only be sold (or just located-) in the US, Asia and/or the UK are lesser 'accessible' for EEC buyers, meaning more costly due to (over seas-) shipping, taxes and customs regulations...

It's just a personal thought...

And all this time I looked at the poster's location for a guide when not specifically posted.

Yes, you are right, but as a mere modest European, I don't always recognise the locations behind designations like "T3A5V4" or "DUH" amongst others.
And as most of these forum's members are internationally located, even the name 'Paris' could be in France or Texas, meaning that a surprisingly lot of places in the USA (and Canada and Down Under) have very European names (*)...

(*) Could this indicate a certain 'interconnection'?

PS: in the list of Classifieds, only the name of the poster is mentioned.

US or Canada or Middle Earth are not particularly useful either.

Well yes, to a certain extent although. I once bought a used book in an US webshop, the total of the shipping, taxes and custom costs were higher than the once new price of that book (it was a scientific treatise, there were no images, thin, well damaged, out of print and hard to find used).
The shipping from an EEC country would have been much lower, not to mention the non existing custom costs and import taxes and the currency exchange.
The taxation- and cost rate on goods coming from abroad are most of the time unknown till they pass the EEC border...

I got that but now on second look I see "submit feedback". Thanks.

No charge for the service, but we must get together for drinks one day.

Mark's feedback post (about Simon Benton) has been moved here from the thread started elsewhere (in the system feedback sub-forum).
