If it's the Lucky aerial film that's called SDH400 in a new wrapper, iso160 is optimistic. I have a bulk roll and I'd say proper exposure might be as low as 64. It's fine at 100. I doubt pushing more would do anything except make it horrible.

Indeed. I bought a bulk of SHD400 and it begs to be exposed at EI100. Everything else is underexposure that requires a push development.

Unsolicited opinion from my experience shooting Lucky 1023, Lucky 1021, and Lucky 1025:

Some of the worst experience I've had developing and using film, none of them meet the advertised speed at all, not even close.

I don't know what equiv SHD400 is to the Lucky product numbers I was shooting, but yeah, awful.

Doesn't load onto reels right, it's scratched or damaged out of the factory, the 35mm stuff for one of them is actually 32mm, not good.

I did hear New New Lucky SHD100 is good, though, just don't mess with their repackaged surveillance film, it isn't fun.

For another unsolicited opinion, this is kind of expensive for what it is, the rolls direct from China (if you know where to look) are 2-3USD.

Yes I've mostly settled on Adox Scala/HR 50 and Kodak Tri-X for black and white going forward. Found it false economy to struggle so much with cheap materials. Although Kentmere is quite decent. And Shanghai GP3 not that bad and available in formats no longer made by others.

$7 is too much for 24 exposures… some places sell it for $7 (or less!) as full 36 exposure rolls. And you can get lucky at prices approaching $2/roll if you’re willing to deal with Chinese marketplaces.

I’ve honestly been thinking about buying a 61m roll of 1021 in 35mm. I’ve tried to find it in 70mm bulk but haven’t yet, unfortunately. The base is a wonderful green color, and it’s like $60 for the 200 ft roll… shot at ISO 50 it looks like an alright film. Plus, it might be thin enough for 72 exposure rolls!
