Stopped by a powersports/dirt bike shop today to pick up some parts for my enlarger 😆
1/4" ID fuel line, I suspect polyurethane. Much stiffer than the latex, and made it so the shaft extension doesn't rub the adjacent filter plate (if you look closely at the middle motor shaft extension in the photo below, you'll see what I mean). The diameter of the motor shaft extension where the rubber sits is slightly more than 1/4" (~6.5mm). The 1/4" tube fit snug, but seems to slip easily when reaching the top of the travel after hitting the "white" button. Onto the next step in the restoration!

It has been over 5 years since I have had to address any of the rubber wheels on my 3 working D5500 heads (post #13 above from 2015), but, as I recall, I used silicone model airplane glow fuel (not gas) line. I actually did not get the tubing from the link below, but it would be similar. I fly model aircraft, so I used some tubing I already had laying around.

So, maybe I can give some long term follow up. The NOS black rubber wheel assemblies I got from Omega many years ago are still working fine. The "HO" gauge slot car tires failed. The silicone glow fuel tubing is still working since 2015.
