Judge Roy Beans bar and courtroom. Langtry, TX. TriX, Olympus XA

Thanks! Last saw that building in 1957! Surely some work has been done on it since.Judge Roy Beans bar and courtroom. Langtry, TX. TriX, Olympus XA

It is waaaaay off the beaten path, that is for sure. Have some inside pics I may share, doubt it has changed any. Judge Bean was a real character of a person out of the old west. The Paul Newman movie didn't do him justice (no pun intended) as it was just loosely based on his exploits with liberal artistic license to his antics. Thanks! Last saw that building in 1957! Surely some work has been done on it since.
Nice shot. I really like how the ruins blend in with the landscape.

He was also known to fine rather than jail....the fine was the equivalent of what was in your pocket/saddle bags. Highway robbery or law and justice?By today's standards, he used the pretense of law as a murder weapon. By the standards of his day, he was harsh, but effective in keeping the peace...
Wonderful, I am found of this kind of pictures and I hope to have the opportunity to visit Ireland once in my life!
