Nice colors!

Agreed. But also, the matched poses. Some weird version of Steelyard composition... it's great.

And for you, that is a decisive moment shot if ever I've seen one. Your stuff is so consistently great, and this makes me smile.

Mamiya C330, Delta 100, Xtol. Eyeballed the exposure.

I know it feels landscapy, but i was taking pictures of a guy taking pictures, which is a "street" photo thing I do... not quite sure where to put it but wanted to share.

Lovely shot but the subject is really small. A severe crop would actually look good

That would loose the feeling of depth and distance.

A severe crop actually IS good, it gets rid of that seawall in the foreground, too. But this is the full frame, no crop at all.

This wasn't art, it was the last shot on the roll while I was testing a new lens and I wanted to burn it so I could develop the roll. I saw the guy taking pictures and so I thought "I'll take a picture of him" but the 50mm was way too wide. Then a kid just out of frame ran through the flock of seagulls that were resting on the beach so I took the shot anyway.

I'm real good at planning my shots like that.

This was actually Portra160. I made it black and white after the scan... I have been finding the color distracting of late.

You might want to use Tri-X instead and then you would not have to deal with anything other than white, gray and black.

Not to mention paying less for the film and being more likely to process it yourself, hence saving even more.

That one was the lab's scan. The economy scan on their Noritsu. I've been doing it myself, but I'm busy and lazy right now so I just had them do it.

It was color (Portra 160) (Fuji C200) and I found the color distracting so I just pulled it into On1 PhotoRaw, added the Black and White filter, clicked "Auto" which does some magic and didn't hate it so I shrunk it down to 1250px on the long side (I also did one 800px on the long side) to share. I really don't like to work to hard in the photo shops.

Portra's sharp to begin with, I thnk the auto tone added a touch of contrast to pop the girl's stripey top.
