@ GLS : gorgeous ! Nice placement in lowish values. Curious about motive for polarizing filter; to increase saturation on the fallen leaves?


Thanks. The rendering is deliberately somewhat darker. The white/off-white forum colours really don't help when viewing images like these; much better to view fullscreen on black. Follow the link to Flickr, then press L and F11.

Also yes the CPL was just to increase saturation in the fallen and live leaves a smidge.

edit: realised after sleeping on it that the original was indeed too dark (comes from editing when tired). I've replaced it with a half stop brighter version.

That type of rendering appeals to me as well.
|Just a reminder that if you upload it as a thumbnail instead of full screen, clicking on the thumbnail presents it instead with a dark background. It isn't quite as large as fullscreen, but I seem to have better success ending up with something that looks sharp.
