I was far ahead of time. Until my usual 8x10 cards got moldy in an obviously too full drying book - first and last try of such a thing (also due to the fact that I through the moldy thing away with the cards).

Now, suddenly, I was behind and in need of a plan. My plan for lack of time was to send "normal" sized RC cards instead my usual mounted FB ones.

Yes, sometimes you need a plan. Even if it is a sad one

And BTW I have received some pretty nice ones this time. Thanks a lot.

Canada Post on Strike

As mentioned in Rob Skeoch’s last feedback post, Canada Post is on strike so sending and receiving postcards to and from Canadian participants is on hold until the strike is over.

May re time to plan, print and prepare for posting!

I was another of the lucky ones receiving @mshchem 's postcard. I confess I don't regularly use inkjet, so I'm amazed at the quality that can already be achieved...

Apologies for my poor handwriting skills, it's Parc Tervuren, and the full name would be "Phalacrocorax in Parc Tervuren" (yes, it's there...).

Sometimes (often?) when I print, my n's, r's, and u's are indistinguishable. That's why I type most of my stuff on the computer now.

While I agree that the computer is a better solution to actually get the message across, in my mind postcards are always handwritten... So I think I'll keep apologising

@rduraoc ,
If you would like a good compromise, use a computer to make address labels, and then add details by way of a handwritten note.
You can even either write the handwritten parts on label stock, and then attach those handwritten labels, or attach blank labels, and then add the handwriting.

I prefer to write them by hand too. However, I only send 5 at a time, so it's easy because of the low number.

Well, I did 10 postcards in this round, and wrote everything by hand. Yes, it took some time, but it was easier thanks to a generous glass of red wine providing encouragement.

I received @Thorsten card today "Fiskelage pa Gotland" (sorry for the lack of proper punctuation) great photo of a seasonal fishing village. Where the land meets the sea and sky. Great job! Thanks!

I also received Thorsten's "Fiskelage ..." print. Very nice, a dark and moody print. But I can image how harsh the weather can be in the winter, cold, wind, show. Yikes, bigtime cold, wind, rain/snow. Thanks, Thorsten!

I have yet to get some time to print. Life is continuing the "get in the way"

I have received some very nice cards. Below are my comments.
"Fiskelage pa Gotland" (without the special characters) from Thorsten gives a very real sense of what these fishing villages are like. A simple composition with a big story.
"Impossible" by mshchem is striking. I like the mural, message, and how it was captured. I am impressed that you processed and printed this yourself. I am not brave enough to process and print E-6.
"Lone Tyre" from is interesting. I also like to photograph "found objects". The foreground vine is both distracting, and an essential element at the same time. My guess is that you are from the "other side of the pond".
"Canadian Maple Leaf" from Don_ih is a nice "image play" where this print mirrors the Canadian Flag. I like how you "arranged" for the light red background (of the maple leaf).
"Eddy Avenue Food Express - 2005" by gbroadbridge captures a time past. I remember visiting these kinds of diners with my high school friends. They were magical places.

I wish all a enjoyable Thanksgiving.

@Rlibersky , I received your RPPC "Cuban Mansion" this evening. Postman bent it bit but still in good shape. Impressive blend of digital and analog!! I'm guessing you made a digital negative then contact printed??

I also received rlibersky's "Cuban Mansion Renovation". Very cool shot, it has "cuba" written all over it. Good shot. And also, the paper is the very very old Kodak kodabromide 3 1/2 x 5 postcard paper. Wow! I think I still have a few sheets of that in my basement.

Thanks Randy, I enjoyed it.

I have received Thorsten's "Fiskeläge...", and can feel the cold wind of solitude when viewing it. Nicely seen and presented.
I, too recently received RLibersky's Cuba photo...very evocative, and an interesting hybrid technique. I appreciate the use of old Kodak postcard paper, as I have stash of it myself.

HOLD YOUR CARDS TO CANADA!!!
Canada Post is still on strike and the backlog is huge. I'll post on here when Canada Post is back to work. If you are mailing cards to Canada you should wait until the strike is settled.
Nothing is getting through.
