As Nikons are now made in Vietnam and there is a 56% tariff, while Sony and Canon are still made in Japan, and Taiwan with a 10% tariff do you pay the 56% or jump to Sony or Canon?

Since it is highly likely that any camera or lens that I would want to buy is no longer made, it is likely that I will not be paying tariffs for any photographic equipment I purchase.
Tariffs are essentially duty, and they apply to used equipment as well.
In my native dialect of English tariff and duty are synonyms.
How about you don’t do anything. Is it that pressing to buy new stuff?

Paul, what Nikon products do you believe are made in Vietnam? As far as I am aware, most Nikon camera bodies are made in Thailand (which I don't think fared much better under Mad King Donald's tariff scheme…). I believe Nikon was making the low end DSLRs and maybe some point-and-shoots in China, but I think most/all of those have been discontinued now. They do make a lot of their lenses in China.
Your right but Thailand also got hit with a larger than 10% tariff 37% . I don't why I got stuck on Vietnam.
Is Canon still made in Japan, I think still makes it's cameras and lens in Japan.
