Haha, that's really hilariously bad film indeed!

But...you got it all wrong. Allllll wrong. Dear me. You know, this should have been exposed in a Holga camera with a pinhole made by punching a safety pin through a condom wrapper mounted on it.

Looks like ancient, re-spooled Aerial film of some sort.

Marketing: Taking pigs ears and turning them into silk purses...

😁 At least with the RB, I was able to see all its flaws in high def! I could have sworn I heard the RB gagging at times!

It probably is re-spooled Shanghai aerial film, that was found in a musty old building, waaaaaay past its prime.

One way of getting rid of bad runs or poor products. Label it as special and sell off all of it, just do not put the name of your good products on it.

Andrew saved us money by alerting us about a truly ugly film.

Using this film requires a bit of 'lucky'. You might wonder that Lucky never produced ISO 25 film. Many years ago, they made ISO 50 blue antihalation layer aerial film. If you forgot it at a musty old building for 10~20 years, you'll get a 'new' film that requires ISO 25 for proper exposure.

I think the seller's description 'ugly' is quite honest... We like to call it 'Last century's film', and it often costs less than $1.50 per 120 roll.

It's most likely very old Shanghai aerial film.

I just have one question Andy.
What role do the potatoes on your work bench play in all this?
Sorry if the answer is elsewhere in one of your videos.

Others have asked me the same question! 😁 They are rocks from the garden. I use them to hold carbon prints down, in hot water bath.

Dang! I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for some esoteric answer about how starch interacts with Pyrocat! 😉

We should all be thankful to have any film at all that makes images. Otherwise, all you camera tinkerers would need to take up the paint brush  And then you'd be sending your ears to unrequited lovers...

Taking up the paint brush wouldn't be so bad, considering my formal training is in drawing, painting, and printmaking! 😁

It's most likely very old Shanghai aerial film.

Wow, so have they been doing some new archaeological digs on Shanghai Aerial films?
To me, old Lucky 1025(and their pinholes) are more familar; last year someone tried to sell it for $200 per unopened box(126 mm x 305 m, ~5 kg, Box ISO 46, 2012). But buying it needs a bit of courage. The quality of their fresh products used to be quite good......

I got curious and looked for this strange movie on eBay. Now that I look at the video and the description of the item, I would say that the Chinese actually approached the information provided quite correctly
You ordered an ugly strange film - you received an ugly strange film. Now I'm starting to wonder what you were actually looking for that you came across it

Yes, it's quite the crazy market for just about any film!

I think it succeeds if you're going for that "early" photography look.
I think the word id “curly”. I had a batch of Lucky film some years ago that had me looking for a glass brick to flatten it out enough to scan.

To see if it was indeed an ugly strange film, obviously! 😆
