Though still known largely for its photo business, the company’s Imaging Solutions segment that includes film now makes up just 13% of total revenue.

And that is significantly more than some years ago!! Some years ago it was in the 9-10% area. But no one is mentioning that fact.
The relative weight of that segment - which represents Fujifilm's analogue business (Instax cameras and films, standard photo films, SUCs, silver-halide photo paper, photo chemistry and minilabs; their production of X-ray films belong to their healthcare group, so you even have to add that if you want to include all silver-halide products) have increased.
And at the same time the relative (and absolute) weight of their digital camera business has decreased. It is now less than half the size of their analogue business.

Eastman Kodak for years now is saying that they are a "printing company". Film production is a relative small part of their business. And the relative weight of that segment has decreased recently.

Fujifilm is the last and only real big player in the analogue business. They are making more than one billion $ p.a. with their analogue products.
So they alone are making more than double (!) the revenue than all other "analogue photography companies" (all other film and photo paper manufacturers, chemistry manufacturers, camera and equipment manufacturers, photo labs) combined.

Best regards,
Henning

Northern Germany Film Photographers Meetings" in Hannover which I organise. The next will be on November, the 27th.
Probably it didn't find place because of Corona, but why do I read this only now. When is the next one?

Hello Ernst-Jan,

yes, we have cancelled it because of the current very problematic Covid19 situation in Germany (well, here in Northern Germany it is fortunately still much better compared to the rest of Germany, but overall not good nonetheless).
The next one will be as soon as possible: Means when this "fourth wave" is gone, and the meeting can take place under very safe circumstances without any risks for the participants.
If wanted, I can inform you then (and other photrio members as well who want to come).

In general I am thinking about organising a "photrio Europe meeting". Well, after the pandemic, maybe next summer........and if there is interest for it.

Best regards,
Henning

fujifilm 2016/2021. My process need is for (120, 4x5) color negative film. I've been making pictures for decades(1960). I began when there were enough companies that the distributor catalog for film and paper ran 300 pages. 8 different emulsions for making hi-light masks.

The direction of business is simple. I am a very small investor in Fuji-- so it goes.

By then, I hope to be already living in Germany. I would love to attend the meeting!

My order from Kumar arrived. For the time being I could only afford two boxes and a few Fujicolor 100 and 400 Superia Premium. The 100 speed came in nice green consumer boxes. So far I had only known it in the white 'industrial' version, which I bought on trips to east Asia. I actually liked the plain white design. But the Fuji-Green boxes are always lovely.

If it remains available, perhaps I can afford another four boxes sometime next year. Right now I have 54 sheets. Another 80 sheets, and they will probably last for as long as the film will remain good at -18°C.

I'm somewhat optimistic that it will remain available for while, at least intermittently: The discontinuation of Pro400H had been announced quite a while ago. I just saw that Foto Impex has it back in stock in 120. A bit pricey at €15. More than Portra 400 (for now) and more than all Fujichromes in 120. But I remembered a post by Jan-Ernst and managed to order two boxes from the Netherlands for €10 a roll. Another unanticipated spending, but I'll have a total 36 rolls, which will likely last for quite a long time, in addition to using Portra 400.
