Hello there ,

I found an interesting paper on silver iodide nanocrystal photosensitive material use and I found there the polycrystal cube structure . I think that nano scale relief could be responsible of wet plate collodion...

I wanted to add , not all the spatial distribution but these cubes interaction with light is may be responsible on these excellent negatives or positives.
