Took apart my dirty nasty 135mm nikkor q lens for my s2a and cleaned and cleaned.lot of cotton buds,alcohol and microfiber clothes.came out beautiful. Just need to take some pics now to see how good it is.even it is soft you couldnt beat the price i paid for it.came out of a pawn shop.
Sweet.

I took apart and fixed this old GAF slide viewer which I got from my uncle. He retired a year ago and is planning to move to Texas with his camper so he's clearing a lot of stuff.
This item, in particular, was owned by his mother-in-law's late companion who was an avid street photographer. I can't remember his name but I know he roamed the streets of Montréal for decades, shooting specifically graffiti and street art. Somehow, his whole slide collection ended up in my uncle's basement and, now that he's moving, it will end up in my care.

I have been cleaning this Deardorff Studio camera for some time. 11x14 camera with an 8x10 revolving back. It is shown with two of the sections of bellows removed. I found a machinist who made me a couple brass bushings for this beast. Perfect fit. Today I got my missing Nickel plated brass knobs from CatLABS, OEM NOS Deardorff knobs, these are for the V8 view camera, but look perfect on the rise and front slide. I have the stand for this beast, I dropped off a piece for my machinist friend today. This is so much fun.

Oh Yes. I’ve had these Godzilla Deardorffs in my shop. Gawd what a heavy honking monster. A Tessina is a Flea compared to those things! First one I worked on was nothing but two boxes of parts. Had to figure out how it all went together, the guy had disassembled every piece of it!!

Jumpy meter needle on the Pentax 67 TTL metered prism. The coupler resister was cleaned with some Deoxit5 and naptha. No more jumpy needle.

Thanks. I haven't handled an ME. P3N/P30T are decent cameras but lack manual ISO and the lubricants tend to dry out. OTOH, they can still be had for very little money.

The aperture linkage on my Nikkor AI 35mm f/2 was slightly bent and was causing my FM2N to jam.

Now it’s straight and working fine.

It wasn't broken, but I enlarged the hole in my lens board to mount a Copal #1 shutter.

I do have a broken standard guide that needs repair. It's on the to-do list.

I fixed several Canon FD lens hoods today by digging out and replacing the perished hard rubber nodules in the bayonet mounts and glueing in new ones.

Made two lens boards for a Century Model 46 5x4 camera from wood (mahogany) in my scrap box Still ahve to French polish to match the colour, I have three different colouredv Shellac flakes, and then you are supposed to add Tumeric and Dragon's blood for extra colouring

The wife won't let me use her blood so I have to use Inkjet pigments instead at the moment !!! Until I try I won't know if the real thing is better . . . . . . . . . . . . .

My Nikon FM had issue with film counter stays at 'S' even though the film door was closed. So I remove the top plate and found a small lever arm was lazy to return and failed to catch the gear on the film counter dial. I put some naphta and it didn't work so I put lubricant and now it works normally.
But now another problem appears, the light meter is inconsistent and when it works it seems to show 4 stops under. I tried to play with speed dial and ISO but didn't fix it. Any idea what could be the problem?
I also notice a small thing that looks like flexible PCB hanging free (see circle in picture) is this supposed to attached to somewhere?

Sekonic incident light meter from the late 1960s. Dial was detached due to a faulty screw. Since these are so difficult to disassemble, I cut down the original screw, and glued it in with a tiny section of a square toothpick. One of my favorite meters, I have a Director in all of my film camera outfits.

just replaced my focusing screen with one from rick olsen for my bronica s2a.replaced mirror foam and screen foam also.looks at if was all original as it just flaked away ,it was not even the goo i have been reading about.just shot a couple of pics and everything seems real good,focus is crisp and clean and his screen is a lot brighter than what was in there.now just have to take differnt shots close and far at wide open to check infinity.hope all of you are doing o.k. during this lock down.we will get thru it .
