How do you find the Horseman back for this camera? I have never much been impressed with the mechanical precision of the RHs, and the Horseman's and Linhofs always looked better to me.
Check Linhof to see if they are actual Graflok. I think that they don't fit.

Horseman backs are excellent. I've used the Graflex knob and the lever backs and the Horsemans (men??) are far smoother, precise, etc. Although I bought one recently for my Century Graphic and had to do small bevel on the Horseman to get it to fit.

I started out in MF with Horseman 980''s and 985's and always used the backs with them so can't compare.
The later lever wind Graflex holders have rollers at the film gate and should be pretty much equal. In this case we are talking about the later model blackHorseman backs.. The earlier, original backs have an extra light-trap flange and will only fit the 970, 980 and 985 cameras.. Don't know about the Horseman VH and VHR.

Please note that the Horseman backs will not fit the Graflex cameras without some minor modification to the camera.

I have both the 65mm Angulon and 65mm f/8 Super Angulons. For a walking around kit I use the 65mm Angulon (with scale focus) along with the Kodak Ektar 105mm lens.

Just a Mamiya C330 for now. Purchased a GW690II that had to get sent back with seized focus ring

Been trying to get another GW690II since then for a decent price and man ebay is just a wasteland.

Mamiya 645 pro, Mamiya 6 automat folder, Rolleiflex with 3.5 Tessar, Minolta autocord.
The 645 produces the better image quality followed by the Minolta autocord.
That said I like the compactness of the Mamiya folder.

I recently added a Rollei SLX (v2) with 80mm planar. So far its a lot of fun to use. Still have all the Bronicas, Horseman, and Fuji MF cameras.

I wanted to use Soviet medium format lenses without using a Soviet medium format camera so it's the Mamiya 645 for me. Also a couple of Voigtlander 6x9 folders. My Fuji GW690 shutter froze. I foolishly sold my Autocord.

Soviet medium format lenses without using a Soviet medium format camera so it's the Mamiya 645

Do elaborate. Is that via a mount adapter for the Kiev 88 or 66 lenses?

Just received my Rolleiflex 2.8F back from International Camera Technicians in San Diego after it had spent 40 years in a dark, wooden drawer. Works like new. Complements my Rolleiflex T and Yashica MAT 124G.

I have a Bronica GS-1, WL finder, and 100mm & 65mm lenses. Have had it about two years, really like it. Get feature set, fairly compact for a 6x7, and the system is affordable. Pics are sharper and more detailed than out of my Leica M, for equal size prints.

How long did your repair take? And does your selenium light meter work reasonably well? I occasionally wonder, when suffering from GAS, if I should buy a late 2.8F or 3.5F.

It took 5 weeks and they do excellent work. As far as the light meter goes, it looked reasonably close, but I took it out, polished the contacts and re-calibrated it. I'm putting a roll through it now just using the light meter, however it often disagrees with my phone app....we'll see.
