A Nikon FA, just because it was on the cheap. Stupid me still cannot resist throwing money out of the window like that. It may be a nice camera, but why did I do that since I have an F100?

A used Hasselblad C T* 100mm f3.5 from B&H. I've been eyeing this lens for some time and finally pulled the trigger this morning.

Grasshopper is showing promise:blink:

Been too busy schooling and printing and working and shooting to take the time to scan some prints but here's a preview

Silver Gelatin Print

Printing isn't really as hard as everyone made it out to be, this one has lots of dodging and burning but at least no masking (yes I'm already experimenting with masking). That's where it gets complicated!

Three boxes (75 sheets) HP5 7x17 @ $204 each box from Fred Newman View Camera Store. It was a few days short of payday so I borrowed my wife's credit card with her permission. She had never bought a photo related item. Her credit card company shut her down immediately. We got a call from Fred. He was very calm. We were all apologies. He said it happens all the time. It took a day or two to calm the credit card company. My wife has taken up water color painting in her retirement, so we are often mutually short of supplies.

It was sort of nice to know the credit card company was looking for fraud. That of course reminds me of when my step daughter was at Ohio State. She got a job selling at Victoria Secret. After some success she was promoted to the fraud detection department. Having grown up with the saying in Akron of, " By God or by Goodyear." I found her new job amusing. It did help pay some of her bills.

I bought a plain prism for my Nikon F this morning, it was horrendously overpriced (aren't they all). But it sure looks better than the dead FTn finder thats on it now.

A replacement lens cover for my 300 F4 AF Nikkor, that I managed to lose on my first outing with the lens! An $25 USD ebay purchase (surprisingly enough, I was the only bidder - go figure!). A thank you to John L who found the thing on ebay, and emailed the info to me.

Three rolls of HP5 135/36 that I found in Boots (for our brethren in the US, that's like Walgreens - and what is more Walgreen just bought them ... another huge UK outfit falls into foreign ownership  ) for £2.35 each.

A couple of books this pm: Vivian Meir's Street Photography, and Helmut Newton's World Without Men. Sumo, methinks, will be the next on the list...

Is Vivian Meir the nanny that was recently discovered post humuosly that took lots of street photos around new your with her Rollei? If it is, my daughter pointed me to a sight talking about her showing some of her work and that someone was developing her remaining film and getting ready to publish her. I loved the work.

Yes, the same Vivian Maier (I misspelled her name above). Some really exceptional images; a shame that recognition of her talent had to come posthumously.

Just picked up a nice, clean 90mm Angulon in copal #0 shutter. I plan on using it with my Wista VX and slider back for 6x9 roll film. It hasn't got a lot of coverage for 4x5 but should have plenty for 6x9 and 6x7 and the small size is an advantage too.
