I had been considering a Leica IIIG for a number of years. Tamarkin Camera in Chicago sent an email announcing a sale. That was too good to resist. They had four IIIGs in their screw mount inventory. I looked at the pictures and chose this one. It is late production, possibly 1959 or 1960. Well, I love it. It is so much fun! My dad bought the 5cm ƒ/2 Summitar in the picture below in Guam in 1949. It is fully coated and the coating is perfect. I also have a Canon 50mm ƒ/2 LTM lens, probably mid-1960s vintage. Tamarin also included a genuine Leitz leather case for the IIIG.

Yesterday, I picked up my first "weird" camera which is meant to be an object d'art. It is the Kodak handle2 instant camera. I never knew these existed. I found it at a place that doesn't typically have any cameras, and it was $3.

Google around, pretty sure these can use Instax Wide with some adapting. Instax uses a similar approach exposure through the backside of the print. Too bad Polaroid and Kodak didn't come to an understanding, this was a great system.

I got a Nikon F65 with the kit lens in an auction site. (Re-) Started doing photo marathons, and those are always in 35mm. I got fed up with depending on loaned cameras (I went all in to MF several years ago), so in came the F65.

This is my very first Nikon, ever. GAS is now driving me into the world of Nikon primes...

Dig around on the Internet, there was a fellow in Sweden selling 3D printed adapters to use Instax Square in those. There are certain models that are recommended -- the ones with metal gears in the print roller drive, specifically. Don't know if that The Handle 2 has metal or plastic gears...

Thanks @Donald Qualls and @mshchem In my initial google search while waiting to pay for the thing I did see the beginnings of a reddit thread, but I will continue looking. The camera takes an odd battery as well. Luckily, I have a dead one for reference.

The other odd thing I saw recently was a black Minolta Srt series dental rig. It was also relatively cheap, but I wanted to do some more reading about the various pieces of the kit.

A new Apple Mac Pro Tower so that I can work on my digital photographs will a large screen and today's software. It is back ordered and I am waiting. The computer I am using as a Apple Mac Pro Tower that was built mid 2012 and the latest OS will not work with the latest PhotoShop software.

I have one of the adapters, but the camera I have has plastic gears and they went "Crunch!" the first time it tried to eject a print (using long-expired actual Kodak instant film). Haven't had the time or money (at least not at the same time) to shop for another one. The one I have uses 4xAA cells, so it's easy to power, at least. Yours only needs the battery for the meter and shutter, so it's probably a K battery. I've seen those for sale within the last couple years.

A set of jewelers screw drivers (really I just needed a 1mm slotted driver) and precision tweezers so I could remove the exposure counter cap and clean under my advance lever on my Nikon F since it was sticky. Before that, and less of a stretch to being photography related, mini arca swiss compatible plates so I could have them on my most used cameras without them getting in the way.

A cap and funnel lid for my Jobo 1500 tank set so I can do some inversion agitation development.

The rubber bung in the cog lid works (just about), but it is not convenient.

I sent some color slide film for developing and picked up a few rolls of Fuji 400 color negative film as I was starting to run a little low. In a couple of weeks I'll need to order some more color developer.

Thank you. The IIIG feels like a watch in its precision. The old Summitar is decent for color film. I usually try to use it at ƒ/4 or smaller because mine has a lot of field curvature. I also have a 1962 Jupiter-8 with the Sonnar look. The Jupiter is nice because it is so short, it does not block any of the viewfinder.

I have a couple hundred, but a B&W 58 mm multi-coated, except not the most expensive version with the dopey water beads up coating that's soft and will scratch but the original, lovely brass ring made in Germany , yeah that one.
