and will the QR code work? I wrote FF that the QR code on my last batch of film came back with a production date of 1980. I got a fast reply that they will check, but No follow up.I think the most important question about these bulk rolls is: Will they be individually QR-coded?

while looking for more information on the NEW Kodak Chemical line, I noticed that the folks at Cine-Still are listing SOME of the Ferrania products on their web site. not sure if this is a new development or not. It looks like Cine-Still is wanting to be in the distribution Game.
yes, My last order proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that getting stuff Via DHL is NOT viable. (which is why I have passed up several items from photoimpex over the years.) My order arrived fast, But the paperwork fees (and I am not talking about the tax and duties, those were LESS than the fees form DHL) almost doubled the price.Which is fine by me if it means being able to get our hands on Ferrania films...![]()
I guess there has been no news about whether P33 is really coming in 135 (ISO 160)? Ferrania barely mentions P33 on their website.
In the previous thread a picture from a social network was posted, showing some color film - and the film can had a name of a certain photographer written on it, iirc. People started to wonder whether it is color slide or negative film.
Is anything new known about this?
WOW. please let us know what you find.I bought two rolls of P33 from my local dealer in China.
I bought two rolls of P33 from my local dealer in China. They came in without dev times. Maybe I'll try BTTB deveolper.

Well I found it on Maco too, albeit out of stock, maybe they are going to announce it soon? Pretty cool if so.
EDIT: it seems it was presented, at least in Italy:
I should probably watch the Godfather movies some day, but in the meantime...runswithsizzers, your post #45 seems perfectly clear to meIf you don't speak Italian try rewatching the Godfather trilogy - worked for me

My interpretations are rough guesswork, but here is what I got out of it:
- P33 has just been released for sale (Jan 27, 2024?), but not a lot of it, so expect limited availablity
- Ferrania may be suggesting a pre-soak for these films - I am assuming "23 minutes" means "two-to-three minutes" and not "twenty-three minutes"?
- They claim good results as tested in several developers, specifically mentioning: Rollei Supergrain, Bellini EcoFilm (Xtol-type), Bellini Hydrofen, And D-76, but they say, "third-party developments are also absolutely suitable"
- Tables of development times for Ferrania films are being updated
- they plan to provide something like proper data sheets which they want to be available on their website
- This first release of P33 will not be in DX coded cassettes, but future runs will be DX coded
I tested this claim that a pre-wash with P30 is beneficial, and stuck it in a video a while back. Someone even stated that a pre-wash improves speed. I could not see any benefits nor speed increase. I used Thornton's 2-Bath, which gives excellent results. I expect the same with Orto and P33.
