Toyota and Honda are still benchmark. My Subarus have had issues, Subaru fixed both times. But I have only had to replace wheel bearings.
Last time I looked at GM. Transmission China, engine Mexico, etc.

When we buy a Japanese vehicle, my wife always checks to see that it says "made in Japan", not here or in the US.

Ford really does stand for fix or repair daily!

Found On Road Dead was the way I learned it when I got my first car (a 1963 Galaxie 500 4-door hardtop). Over the 45 years since then more than half my cars have been Ford (and one Mercury), and the only really bad one was the '68 Thunderbird, which suffered from someone having replaced the 390 V8 with one the same displacement from a truck. Got 8 MPG and would barely get out of its own way. My last Ford before the current one lasted me 17 years, including hauling a literal half ton of stuff over Lincoln Pass when I moved from Seattle to North Carolina; it had enough miles to get to the Moon when I parked it six years ago in favor of a then-new 2015 Fiesta, which I still drive 40 miles each way to and from work. I get 38-40 mpg (depending on conditions), still, at 140,000 miles on the clock (and nothing done other than oil/filter changes, tire replacement for wear, a couple burnt light bulbs renewed, and a new battery a few months ago), and all evidence suggests I've got another five or six years left in it.

I like Toyota, too, and I'd love to own a Subaru -- but Fords keep getting my money, because I can afford a cheap Ford, and I can afford to fix it when necessary.

Yes, Ford has dropped the sedan. Taurus, Fusion, Focus, and Fiesta -- some of the models still going, but the sedan versions gone. More margin and better sales in SUVs. My next new car (if I still need to commute when this one's done) might be a Kia Rio; nearly identical to a Fiesta, same price, more features (2015 they even had the same engine from the same factory). By then, though, I'd rather have an electric, if I can afford one with the range I need. Maybe when Tesla brings out the $25k model they keep promising...

How can anyone forgive what Ford has done to its Mustang in the 80s? (And 90s) (And 00s)??

My wife and I bought a brand new 1996 model Toyota Corolla. It was one of the first ones of that model year.
It was made in Fremont CA at the old GM plant by New United Motors Manufacturing AKA NUMMI. It has been
absolutely reliable ever since we first got it. It has about 272,000 miles on it it now, and I wouldn't hesitate to take
it anywhere.

When I was about to drive off this morning, I noticed a box sitting on my front doorstep. I dont know if it was dropped off today or yesterday, but my camera didn't record anyone doing it. I wasn't sure what it could be, until I saw all the info written on the front of the box. My 2 packages of Xtol came. I wasnt going to ask for it at this point, since I used both of my bad packages with no issues. These would basically be freebees. Never the less I have two new packages now put into my stock, as I openned the last bag of Xtol I purchased a couple months ago and Im using that currently. I didn't contact anyone since early this year, so I was surprised they followed through with sending me my 2 packages.

Glad to hear yours finally arrived. Hopefully mine will too now...

Mine was shipped out from the States on the 10th, so it was 1 to 2 days to get to me. You should have yours on Monday Matt, assuming they didn't forget you.

If I hadn't frittered away all my time on the weekend, I'd have opened and mixed my first package of EcoPro -- but now it looks as if I might have Xtol in my mailbox sometime soon. That's fine, I'll just have to decide whether to mix new replenisher for my existing Xtol, or switch back and forth as needed (or take the risk of assuming they're enough alike to replenish one with the other -- developer is cheap enough I probably won't).

Hey @MattKing did you receive yours yet? ANOTHER box arrived at my doorstep this morning! Four more packages. What's odd about these ones is that the packaging is very different than the replacements I received a few days ago. The ones on the right in the photo, I received today...

But what's with the different packaging with the replacement Xtol? The replacement I received last week is in kind of a foil-like pouch...which seems more protective of its contents, whereas the stuff that came today is in a plasticy pouch.

That’s weird. Are they labeled the same? Did they come from the same facility?

I posted about the new packaging about 6 months sgo...

Looks like Sinopromise went with the same material before them, but this time in white instead if yellow. This would also indicate that sinopromise acknowledge that their packaging was at fault.

they also reverted to the old packaging for d76. It may seem old news but they had problems with d76 too, and dektol.

Mine came in the smaller packaging which I believe was like your first set. I wonder if the Kodak rep you guys were recently talking to sent you the second box? How many were you supposed to get replaced? I only initially bought 2, which I did get in my box.
