Wow folks, these are fantastic.

Beautiful image, Paul. I'm so inspired and eager to try my new Retina III that just came back from CLA. Here is something of the wood nature. I was thinking that trees have distinctive look and I dare to say personality.Hiking last weekend on Cape Lookout, north of Newport in Oregon. I've lived in this area 20 years and never taken the trail down this peninsula.
Photographed on Ilford Delta 400 with my "new" Kodak Retina III. Film processed in BER49, my new favorite developer.

Did you comb the fern before?
Yes, I started with a scanned negative, then I made a larger Digital Negative in PS, printed it on Pictorico Transparency film and contact-print the film on Fabriano paper sensitised with VDB sensitiser.
The outer effect is "natural" - the brush traces on the paper when I applied the sensitiser (the sensitiser is applied locally, not on the entire paper).

I make it a point to comb all the ferns just prior to shooting. They should always look their best.Did you comb the fern before?
No but seriously nice shot!
Hi Paul, yes it was Chris. He did a fantastic job. Can't wait to get a roll through it. Will post something hereI'm finding the Retina IIIc to be a very pleasant camera to use, and the results are quite respectable for 35mm. I hope you will enjoy yours too! Who did the CLA? Was it Chris Sherlock?
Love this light. It's still being elusive for me. Thanks for sharing!A local woods. 35mm Nikon F2, 50mm. Sepia and selenium toned Ilford Classic. View attachment 206854
