I just gave my postcards freedom to fly out into the world to you...
Simply put, I dropped them in the mailbox 🙂

That's quick. Mine are sitting in a pile awaiting stickers.

Got my first print from Ansel Mortensen today!
"Winter" A high-contrast scene that blends well with the double border.
The postal machine left its mark just outside of the border and is barely noticeable.
Thank you!

It will be a while before I get mine printed and sent. Looks like I have a good negative I just developed though so I am excited!

I received @Ajven 's "The hole". Being from southern Europe, it still gives me the chills to see something like this... Thank you for the postcard!

I also received AnselMortensen's "Winter". Nice shot of the tree, great detail in the snow. I like the border too. Thanks Doug!

I have received two cards so far.
AJVEN sent "The Hole"... looks like you're having a frosty winter this year as well but the look of that frost fence. Nice shot. The Fomabrom has an interesting feel to it.
Todd Barlow sent "Bronte Creek Driftwood"... the good old days when you could get graded paper so easily and in so many grades. Nice shot of the old tree. When I lived in Burlington I spent a lot of time at the provincial park at Bronte, skating, hiking and not catching any trout no matter how hard I tried. Great shot.

I also received Ajven's "The Hole". A chicken wire fence that somebody (or something?) has poked a small hole through. And the fence is covered in hoarfrost. Good catch! Thanks Ivan!

My postcards went out yesterday morning. This time in an envelope, and with all addresses computer printed - let's see if I can improve the delivery rate, as I believe that in the previous round most postcards got lost somewhere...

Hello people,

My stack of 15 square black envelopes is going out tomorrow.
Can't wait for your cards to start arriving!

We now have a postal worker for the neighbourhood, so fingers crossed!

My first card arrived and it is a wonderful print of a large water and weather worn driftwood tree trunk from @Todd Barlow (makes sense yours would arrive first, since you're only about an hour away). Excellent tones and textures.

My cards will enter the postal system tomorrow afternoon.

"Winter" by AnselMortensen is a study in contrast. I like the interplay of the tree and the shadow.
"Acorns and Asphalt" by BHuij is an example of "found photographic art". At first I thought the acorns were rocks. This image "works" in several orientations.

I look forward to more cards, and hope you like the image I chose for this round.

Regards,
Darwin

Just received @AnselMortensen 's "Winter", a minimalist, almost-abstract shot. I love the sharpness of the pine and the slanting shadows. The inclusion of frame lines and a thick white border complements the shot beautifully. Well done! Thank you, Doug!
