Just received @rduraoc 's fantastic postcard. What a story! (I won't spoil it for others) Awesome job with the printing, so crisp! Thank you, Rui!

I'm glad you liked it. On the crispiness, I confess I was experimenting with bleaching and carbon toning, so all postcards ended up slightly different.

The second day in row with the postcards in my mailbox:
"Grand Teton" by @Rob Skeoch - probably the largest postcard I have ever received. Although I saw the youtube video posted by Rob a week ago and I was not surprised by the content of the image, this postcard was highly anticipated because I wanted to see the result in real life. The postcard looks very nice and the story behind the capture is a bonus. Thank you very much!
It is very interesting that the second postcard has also interesting story. In fact two stories - the first about the trunk and the second about the print. I didn't know how old Ilford Ilfospeed technology is! @Todd Barlow 's "Bronte Creek Driftwood" is full details of the old piece of wood. Thank you for the print!

Received @drpsilver 's "Tag, you're it". A picture of beautiful street art. I like how your straight-forward framing makes the energy of the drawing and words stand out. Thank you, Darwin!

Received today:
"Winter" - Ansel Mortensen - Nice contrast against the snow - which we could do with here tomorrow with forecast mid 90's

PCX#64 cards I have received as of Feb 27, 2025:
Feb 26 - Don_ih - Fence 1 - Very nice photograph of the bleak midwinter! Love the white, the contrast and the distance band of grey!
Feb 26 - Ansel Mortensen - Winter - Same comments as for Don's Fence 1! Nice exposure in camera and darkroom to bring out the tones in the snow! Well done!

PCX #64 Receipt Confirmation of my cards as of Feb 27, 2025:
Feb 16 - @Rob Skeoch - Thanks Rob for the receipt confirmation and comments! "Good old days when you could get graded paper" - I agree but must admit I am enjoying the convenience of Multigrade!
Feb 17 - @Don_ih - Thanks Don for the receipt confirmation and comments! Between you Rob Skeoch and myself we are all about an hour from each other! Will have to meet up in Terra Cotta for some photography!
Feb 21 - @Daniela - Thanks Daniela for the receipt confirmation and comments! Glad you enjoyed the background to the travel of the subject.
Feb 25 - @Ajven - Thanks Ajven for the receipt confirmation and comments! Glad you enjoyed the background as well.

Cool idea - maybe once this ridiculous winter ends.

And it seems good things keep coming in pairs. Today I got another two postcards: @Don_ih 's "Pole Trees No Clouds", chilly; and @BHuij 's "Untitled", agreeing that the textures are indeed essential.

I'm also amazed about how well the postcards have been surviving the trip over the Atlantic... They've beenarriving in pretty good shape!

Today I got

We traded, apparently, since I got your photo of two guys on a raft. Very cool - and I like found negatives. That makes me think that perhaps we should start a "Member Organized Activity" of prints from found negatives - which would be an "interpretation" sort of challenge.

I’ve received a LOT of postcards this week! Sorry I’m a little behind in acknowledging all of them.

Darwin’s (DRPSIILVER) “Tag, You’re It!” A lighthearted and very timely image.
Don Weisz - “Diesel.” Love all the textures and the grays.
Todd Barlow - “Bronte Creek Driftwood.” A beautiful capture of expressive deep tones. Interesting to learn of your process.

Thank you.

I've just received:

Mark Fohl - “Urban Mailbox.” Black and white at its best with textures and shadows. Nice.
Michael Howard - “Troll Under Liberty Bridge.” Interesting composition and I like the playful title.
Rob Skeoch - “Grand Teton.” A beautiful image, and printed so lush (lushly?) that I can’t resist running my hand over it. I got the semi-matte version. Delicious.

It is so interesting to learn of the cameras/lenses everyone used, and the printing processes as well. Thank you all.

These are the ones I've received over the past few days...
"Winter" - Ansel Mortensen - well we've certainly got our money's worth this winter. Maybe it could start to end, lol. Nice photo with great contrast.
Pipes - Don Heisz -
a lot of contrast in this one. Nice composition.
Untitled by Andrew Broekhuijsen -
you really get a good look at the valley from that spot. The image really fades into the fog.
"Dürer's Flowers" - @Martie W -
they really have a 3D quality to the flowers. You can almost touch them.

Today I got @mfohl 's "Barn window". I agree, the balance between the vegetation and the wood adds an interesting texture to the image. Thanks!

I received Rob Skeoch's "Grand Teton", a beautiful view of a majestic mountain top. Marvelous detail in both the shadows and the highlights. And an ominous gray sky. Printed on nice fiber paper, too. Thanks Rob!

I got your Big Wheel, @mfohl -- I have always liked those tires. Probably comes from being on a backhoe when I was a kid. Not operating it, but hanging onto the doorway above a similar big wheel wondering how much I'd be squished if I happened to slip....

Oh, and you had plenty of white space to do a big looping fancy signature! I like the somewhat smaller image, by the way.

And a very cool card from rduraoc. A photo of two sleeping (or drunk!) men in a raft. The shot is from purchased negatives from another family. No information about the family, but the shots were taken from a yacht on the Mediterranean. Very cool indeed. The information about the yacht is as interesting as the shot itself. Thanks Rui.

On the down side, my letter to you containing the PCX 63 card came back. There was a sticker in English that said "Not deliverable as addressed". But there is also a sticker with both Flemish and French text, so presumably, the letter got to Belgium. The address I wrote on my letter is the same as the return address on your current card. But maybe my hand printing is not readable by the machines in Belgium. I will send this card again, but I will print out the address from the computer and tape it to the envelope. Sorry about that!

I also received Todd Barlow's "Bronte Creek Driftwood". It's a classic rock and tree shot: nicely shaped driftwood with beautiful gray tones. The driftwood apparently moves downstream from season to season. On one of its trips, it picked up two beer bottles! Very nice, thanks Todd.

Received's @mfohl 's "Bleak landscape". I had never heard of RSS cameras! 😍 Lovely photo, so dramatic! I like exactly the two things you mention: the tree and the grass. Thank you, Mark!
