Just received a copy of "Early Sunday Morning" by Peter Mitchell - RRB Photo books Bristol.
Gorgeous little book, beautifully printed too. I will seek more from this publisher.

I was eyeing the hardback version of this some time ago, but didn't pull the trigger. The price has gone insane on it I see: IIRC it was around £60-70 before; now £250! At least there's a paperback, but it's not quite the same.
I just ordered Mitchell's "Epilogue" though:

Just picked up a copy of Eugene Richards' Cocaine True Cocaine Blue, a book I've wanted for a long time. Finally found a clean hardcover copy at a reasonable price.
Some new titles on the shelf.
What do you think of the Todd Webb/Robert Frank book? I've been tempted by that one for a while, and although I generally don't like to buy photobooks at Amazon, their price is super low now.

It's a beautifully and intelligently crafted and edited book. I hesitated getting it, as I already have The Americans and Looking In: Robert Frank's The Americans. But this book isn't about Robert Frank. Nor is it, strictly speaking, about Todd Webb. It's about trying to understand America — a certain America at a certain time — through photography.
Todd Webb's photos are brilliant. His style may be not quite as jazzy as Frank's hard bop, but having both next to each other really shows how much they owe to Walker Evans, albeit differently. It's also interesting to have Frank's photos in a different sequence than the one he chose for The Americans.
My Wife surprised me with a copy of Stepen Gill's "The Pillar" for my birthday. I guess I'll let her hang around. Ha ha.

) and Robert Frank in America so I wasn't sure how much of that was duplicated by the Webb/Frank book. I'm debating picking up the Webb/Frank book or I See a City: Todd Webb's New York. Who am I kidding, I'm going to end up with both at some point anyway...
Took out a very interesting book from the library this week. It's titled Harry Callahan: The Photographer at Work. Realized how much Callahan hasn't been on my radar so far, and how much he should be. Tough photographer to figure out, though.
Check out the book/catalog for the 1996 Callahan retrospective at the National Gallery of Art by Sarah Greenough.
Jeff Hirsch Books (no affiliation) has a 'near fine' copy in stock at the moment for $35. I find this shop often overpriced, but that seems pretty reasonable for this book and is quite a bit less than I paid for my 'fine' copy five years ago.
Edit: Just noticed that the copy at Jeff Hirsch Books is the softcover. Still not a bad price if the condition is as stated.

I scooped up a "Venezia" by Michael Kenna at one of our half-priced-books locations last week. $36 for a signed 1st limited (2000 copies) slip-cased edition.
They also have a copy of "Merklingers focusing the view camera" which seems to be a fairly rare small paperback. Priced at $127. I left that one on the shelf.
There was a Peter Hujar title on the shelf at the same location. No subtitle, and the cover is a semi-translucent plastic-ish with "Peter Hujar" embossed in green. The printing seemed a bit dull to me, but from earlier in the thread it seemed like some of his publications were hard to find. I'm 99% sure it is this one:

An incredible photographer, Geir Jordahl has a new photobook coming out worthy of collecting.
I have a pre-press copy I have been looking at. The book is well designed. Both Geir and his wife Kate are excellent photographers, teachers, and book creators. They do not just put a bunch of photos together, but create a piece of art the contains art.
The poems are powerful as well.

@logan2z I was happy. Kenna's books are a funny thing. Lots of them from various sellers at high prices, but I wonder how many actually sell that high? I tried to sell my 1st edition 2nd printing of "Japan" quite a while back and got crickets. I'm glad it didn't sell though as I like it a lot.
